Welcome Credit principle
- One welcome award per genuinely new eligible student.
- Eligibility must be checked on the server, not in the browser.
- Credits are practice credits, not cash, unless final terms explicitly state otherwise.
- The balance, expiry and eligible activities must be visible before claiming.
Referral principle
A share alone does not create a reward. Referral eligibility should require a new student and the qualifying action defined in the final programme terms. Self-referrals and duplicate identities must be rejected.
Required ledger fields
Developers should store award type, user, referral attribution, rule version, amount, status, qualifying event, created date, expiry date and reversal reason.
